The Salt Room St. Charles Guidelines

General

  • We will not allow anyone to use our services if they are under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.
  • If it is your first time at our facility, please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork.
  • When it is wet outside, shoes must be removed and left in the front vestibule.
  • Lockers are available.

For your Salt Therapy Session:

  • Do not wear perfumes or other strong fragrant producing products.
  • Please arrive with enough time to use rest room prior to your session. The sessions start at the top of the hour. While in progress, entering and exiting is only for emergencies.
  • Please leave your personal belongings in the locker area.
  • Electronic devices must be muted and placed in plastic baggies.
  • Disposable foot covers are provided and must be worn in the therapy rooms.
  • A drink with a lid is allowed but no food, including gum and candy.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • If you have an inhaler, please bring it with you.
  • Please refrain from touching the walls, consuming or throwing the salt. Please do not move chairs.
  • You are responsible for any damage of property to the salt room.

For your Infrared Sauna Appointment:

Seek permission from your doctor to use the infrared sauna if you:
  • are under 14 years old
  • are elderly
  • have cardiovascular conditions
  • have chronic condition/diseases associated with reduced ability to sweat or perspire
  • are obese
  • have implants
  • have a pacemaker/defibrillator
  • are taking medication
Other items of note about your appointment:
  • You CANNOT use infrared sauna if you are pregnant or suspect that you may be pregnant!
  • Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during your infrared session.
  • A shower is available in the room.
  • All you need to bring is a hairbrush. Towels, shampoo, conditioner and bodywash are provided.
  • You are responsible for any damage of property in the sauna room.

For your Floating appointment:

  • Consult your doctor prior to your appointment, if you have severe medical conditions: seizures, communicable condition, infectious disease or skin condition or if you are experiencing any problems that would make it unsafe to float.
  • If you are ill or have had intestinal distress within the last week, we need you to reschedule.
  • If you are pregnant, discuss benefits of floating with your doctor, midwife or doula.
  • Do not shave the day of your float.
  • If you have a new tattoo, it must be fully healed.
  • Avoid caffeine.
  • Eat light.
  • You cannot float if you are menstruating.
  • You must wait 5 days after coloring your hair with permanent color. NO Keratin treated hair. NO Henna, Manic Panic hair color or any temporary color is allowed in the pod.
  • There is a shower in the room - you must shower before your float. Avoid makeup, perfume, lotions, oils and excessive hair products.
  • You may wear a swimsuit or float nude. You are the only one in the room.
  • If you will need assistance to enter and exit the pod, please bring someone to help as our staff is not trained to assist with this.
  • All you need to bring is a hairbrush. Shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, disposable earplugs and towels are provided.
  • You are responsible for any damage of property to the float pod or issues with the water for not following directions given.

For your Massage Therapy appointment:

  • Hydrate before and after your appointment
  • Arrive 15 minutes early
  • Avoid eating right before an appointment
  • Workout before your massage not after
  • Remove jewelry
  • Remove only as much clothing as you are comfortable with
  • Relax during the massage
  • Communicate with your therapist - the most important thing you can do
